Our Lady of Victory Chapel is an integral part of St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN. Inspired by St. Trophime at Arles in Provence, France, the Chapel has a rich history, offers sacred ritual and serves as cherished space for reflection and prayer. The Chapel was completed in 1924 under the direction of Sister Antonia McHugh, who helped found St. Catherine in 1905 and served as its leader for more than 30 years. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Audio Logic Systems worked with the chapel staff and artist Tamatha Miller to solve three problems. One, provide a highly intelligible audio system solution. Two, have that system be easy to operate. Three, have the system blend into the exquisite architecture. Audio Logic designed a system based on d&b audiotechnik Ti10 and E6 point source speakers, d&b D6 amplifiers, and a BSS London system processor controlled with RTI touch panels. The visible parts of this system were then custom painted and matched to the individual tiles surrounding each speaker. The result is a highly intelligible audio system which is controlled at the touch of a button that is hardly noticed.
